Victoria Klewin is a versatile young vocalist and songwriter who spent
her formative years binging on jazz standards instead of alcopops. It’s
proven to be time well spent as her delivery is emotive, playful and
authentic, with a tone that is both sophisticated, sweet and gritty.
Victoria draws heavily on the Great American Songbook but also revives
classical pieces by the likes of Purcell and Handel to great effect.
Most excitingly, her original material stands up to the rest with ease,
truly setting her apart from the crowd. She is thrilled to be joined by
some of Bristol’s finest- Jim Blomfield (piano), Greg Cordez (bass) and
Eddie John (drums).
"What a voice!" - Jazz FM
"A well-known name for her swing’n’soul TrueTones, singer Victoria Klewin
steps deeper into jazz territory with this new quartet featuring piano
ace Jim Blomfield and the excellent rhythm combination of Greg Cordez
(double bass) and Eddie John (drums). That’s a top notch line up that
delivers cool modern jazz with Victoria’s vocal assurance gliding easily
through a mix of original material and great numbers from jazz’s back
catalogue."
