A b o u t   V i c t o r i a . . .

At twenty-four, Victoria is a singer far beyond her years.  Influenced predominantly by the guttural cries of blues, jazz and soul (with a healthy dose of gospel for good measure); she evokes passion and sincerity with every note.  She set her sights on music and singing from an early age, idolising singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Aretha Franklin and Bonnie Raitt.  Many formative hours were spent listening to such singers, developing a real love for music and strong desire to one day sing professionally.   Since then she has been learning, training, writing and performing constantly, in pursuit of her musical dreams.

Victoria has played (with various line-ups) at venues and festivals throughout the country and supported signed artists such as Polly Paulusma, Nick Harper and Willie & The Bandits.  She has also appeared as a guest vocalist with several well-respected South West jazz groups such as the Bill Taylor Trio at Corsham Jazz Club and the Cass Caswell Trio at the Old Duke, Bristol.   Having spent three exploratory years in Devon studying for a music degree at the renowned Dartington College of Arts, Victoria is now settled in Bristol, writing and playing as much music as possible!

This young woman will quite simply blow you away.  Her emotional commitment to the songs and soaring improvisational style demonstrate that she really knows her craft.  Raw passion and a very human need to express emotion guide her vocals and it is this underlying authenticity that captivates audiences wherever she goes.
